ROPE PUMP - TRAINING TANZANIA

On World Water Day March 22, 2009 residents in Rijnwaarden and Lobith running to test the wheel of the rope pump, serve as a model that Henk Holtslag makes for this type of demonstration. After May 22nd there are 15 families, 75 people in total, operated in a village near Njombe in southern Tanzania to the wheel of their own rope pump.

Manufactured for € 481, 20 by Rijnwaarden residents in the small money meeting had been compromised. Frequent small collection for frequent small applications is the motto of Blue Peter. Sinking wells in the above village store was led by Henk Holtslag. Women from the village beat them motivated. Together with a local trainer of the local organization Shipo, they took several villages at hand. It was there a situation of significant improvement, much more hygienic, water supply.
